Sharon Olofsson

Sharon founded Gateway Educational Consulting in 2016 and works with students from

the greater Boston area and around the world.

She earned her B.S.E. from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania, her M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University, and her Certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from the University of California Irvine. After working for many years as an investment advisor, Sharon decided to focus on helping families find colleges they could afford, including exploring merit aid, financial aid, and universities outside the U.S. She is a frequent guest speaker on a variety of college admissions-related topics, from selecting high school courses to decreasing stress in the application process, for local Boston-area PTOs and Russian School of Math (RSM) nationwide.

Sharon works with students across a wide range of academic interests and has particular expertise in guiding students in applying to universities in the UK, Ireland, and Canada. She is a member of the New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC), and the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).
